Looks very nice. I'm really liking the red. Who makes those wheels?

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
I'll be watching this build closely. There have been a few KH to Peterbilt conversions now but not so many KH to Kenworth conversions. Looking good so far! I didn't realise the front axle needs to go forward for a KW too. As far forward as a Peterbilt?

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
Hey Nick,I think the axle needs to be moved forward on the KH kit for any
build in my opinion.Look at the stock bumper spacing....it's way to big of a gap to be prototypical! Thanks for the comments!

I'm sorry to bust your bubble but the axle on an A Model if the hood is adjusted right is right in the middle. Here is a pic of my buddy's 78 A model which I drove to this little truck show out side of Des Moines Ia last yr. Also thought since you were doing a red and white truck this might help with the matter.............. Here is a pic of an 81 that I took in Illinois last yr with 22.5 low pro on The black A is owned by Robbie Spencer out of Pa and it is an 82 it got most of it's look from the prior owner Justin Lang. Have seen in person still a nice ride for sure. Good luck Wade

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
As I have been working with my Knight Hauler, I am thinking about using it as a base for my W900l. Yeah the King may be a good choice, but I have my reasons for choosing the Knight.
You are doing a great job sneaky-pete. |

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
Off to an excellent start! Boy, just looking at it from the front end, with that grill, Wedico headlights, and the bumper already on there, it hardly looks like it will need much more to be an accurate KW! Even though I know there is more work to be done with cab steps, air cleaners, ect. Very awesome project. I like it!

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
Well right after my post, my brother informed me that he wants this truck!
He said to leave the light buckets the way they are,but wants to add a lift axle.He has looked at my trucks and decided to get into rc trucks himself, and begged me for this one. I have most of the parts for the lift axle, and the frame is long enough..... but I will have to use shorter tanks. Any way here are a few mock-up pics,I guess its going to be his truck now.
