Linear Actuators?
Ive been looking about for an alternative to hydraulics for my Bruder excavator conversion and came across these: http://www.active-robots.com/product...6-R-3541.shtml
Does anyone know anything about these or used them before? It mentions in the discription "Direct replacment for a regular RC hobby servo" so does this mean it can just plug directly into a standard RC receiver like a servo? Thanks Paul |

Re: Linear Actuators?
Yes they can/do plug right in. You have to get properly configured ones. I have delt directly through them before. http://www.firgelli.com/

Re: Linear Actuators?
I have used linear actuators for many years. They are reliable and strong. The link showed a full extension of 50mm/2". Price goes up with ram length. I get mine from a mobile lift com. ie. construction man lift rental co.
They were used prior to going to hydraulics. Check around and ask them if they will sell used ones. Usually for pennies on the dollar. Good luck. |
