It's been awhile since the Stahl was last used, but the HK is reaching what it can from below to load out trks.

Well, probably not Greg. Though my waist line might be a bit wider if it wasn't for the pic axe workout. It'd be a twenty foot ramp to get out of this hole, so I just relay dirt from one hoe to the other.

The Ripper is the perfect tool for this job Kalle.

Here's my guard dog!

And I've got these little critters coming out of the wet too.

The HK making itself useful.

The deepest point of the hole is about 44" below the basement surface.

Can you make a video with the HK Hoe Getting dirt out of the hole? Have you had any mechanical issues with the HK Hoe?

Well I finnished harvest a few hrs ago, I wish I had another 1000ac to do yet, I luv running my CR9060, barely broke it in @just over 100 seperator hrs.

So yeah, perhaps this wkend I'll make some movies with the HK.

The track motors are very weak, the slightest bit of dirt in the links stalls them out! I positioned the arm perpendicular to the tracks to lift the stall track & while moving the track for/rev, slap the bottom of it with my hand to clean the debris out of the links.

One other thing that seems very odd. I'm using 10W hyd oil, the pump strains somewhat for a few minutes of operation while I'm using it, it seems the oil has to warm up some before the pump motor mellows & flows the oil smoothly to the cyls. I'm using the same oil in my 850, no hesitation from the word go. But then the 850's motor to pump connection is a 1:2.5 belt drive (I didn't actually measure it) instead of the HK's direct connection.

The well is 90 foot deep, so I think I'm safe yet.

Not everything is working good yet Martin, but in another month or so I'll have nothing but time to work at it... hard to believe another growing year has come & gone again already, how do we slow time down?

So what have you two characters been up to? Have you put away your life jackets yet?

Planning on going to the model engineering show. Gotta get away out to mog's and work on the Unit crane. servo went in it and it never was really finished.. just life got in the way lol

Good to hear you're starting to get life somewhat back to normal. My corrals are still under water, weaning the calves for market at the end of this month is gonna be an interesting task to complete.

To my surprise I discovered a couple nights ago that there's atleast three of them gators down there now.

Last Sunday this the amount of dirt before I started hauling...

And by evenings end I got this much out, about thrity five loads.

This is the total to date that I've taken from the basement, though not all of it is there as I've used some of it around the yard to fill in holes & low areas. This subsoil clay packs as hard as cement. I taketh away from the side of my house with my farm FEL to pile it over there.

Now here is the pile to move out today.

I use the 850, as it's just four scoops to fill the trk.

Some good, some not so good Greg. My spring wht froze mid Sept before it fully matured, find out here shortly how it grades & for what price. I didn't hit the lottery this yr by any means, but I'm pretty sure I did well enough to farm another yr without needing to talk to the banker.

Indeed it was a great weather day! The one great thing about the 1st Fall frost is all the squiters are gone!

The WA500 got the nod to load trks today, even put the Lil Giants flagship trk to work as well (after the tx for the green GL died half thru)

It's fun to use this trk/pup to haul out, but I have to go outside to dump it so I don't snap the hitch when I jack knife the pup to dump the trk... lots of excercise I guess while play too.

The dozer grooming the pile to smooth it out - pack it so the 6x6's can start a new layer next Sunday.

I didn't quite get it all hauled out, but then if the weather is decent this week I won't have much time for digging anyway.

Joe, progress is looking great. Good to see the dumper and pup back out in the sun and getting some excercise as well. Looking like the whole thing is working smoothly these days.

Martin was telling me that next yr is the 25th Aniversary, for sure I'll make it to that one, should be a memorable event.

I'd like to bring my 850 to show off its size & power, but I don't have it working perfectly yet. I got the u/c booked in with the local machinist on monday, so I'll have to tear it down this wkend.

Perhaps a flask of rye or butter ripple Greg, it aint summer anymore.

Cheers Tyler, the rc's have been relatively trouble free all summer.

Tim, the 850's bucket is pretty huge, probably 3 or 4 scoops for each tub... I betcha I could load your train inside of five minutes. Boy oh boy, the two of us could move a mountain of dirt on just one charge alone!

I've thought about your D9 often Joe, it's a magnificient beast & also too efficient as well, it'd get 'er all done in one or two passes.
About time for you to start another project though, eh?

I just about got the top of the wall cleared off & then just keep digging the hole deeper till the snow flies in a month or so.

Thanx for your interest gentlemen.
