Re: RCLogger
Greg, you should add a Cat decal to the left side of the arm.
Other than that, looks very nice! |

Re: RCLogger
Thanks Joe I have built another undercarrage the same as the one on the log loader. Not sure if it going to be a excavator or log loader yet.... It was a spring day here, sun, showers changing every 5 minutes.
Here is another video of it working for the first time.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUbK_...ature=youtu.be |

Re: RCLogger
I was asked to put another machine beside to compare size. The width of the tracks are 9 inchs and the length is 14 inches.

What's the next build. I really enjoy your builds. I am trying to build a dozer like the one you built. Hope it turns out. Keep up the great work

Re: RCLogger
Fantastic build, I love watching your videos. Actually to tell the truth somehow I came across your videos on youtube a few months ago and they are one of the main reasons I got hooked on this hobby. So again thanks for sharing.
One question, Can you give any more info on how you connect the undercarriage to the excavator? I am looking at your photos in post #318 on page 17, but I still dont understand how you have that setup. Thanks |

Re: RCLogger
You see there is three holes on each side of the swing motor. That is what the house main plate is attached to..
http://servocity.com/html/spg785a_top_mount.html The servo city drive I get at 6 rpm, then invert it, the gear is mounted solid to the undercarrage. greg |

Re: RCLogger
Thank you so much for sharing that part, I have been scratching my head for quite a while on how to build the turntable. That part is perfect.
Thanks again |

Re: RCLogger
If you checkout my thread starting on #370 you will see how I built my continues rotation.. ( slip ring ) The wires come up through the centre shaft of the swing motor and then solder to the brass rings...
