I'd be interested to see this become a kit as well. That ripper is huge! I didn't think it was that big. That's impressive. Of course a 1:1 scale D11 is a monster too, so it's not that much of a surprise to see it takes two hands to hold the ripper.

What kind of motors are those? 12 volt?

Yes it is getting bigger it's not until you see the material to be machined you get a better idea of the size.
I will re weigh the machine soon to find out where is at for weight and put it up on a Wedico float to put the size of it into prospective.
The motors came from a friend in Germany.
They are a worm drive unit and are 12 volt, from memory they do about 21 rpm and stall at about 7 amps so they should be strong enough to do what we want without breaking the drive line inside with to much power.
Testing will tell.
