I bet I get this thing done before you get that skidder done you have been working on for a year and a half. This thing is scratch built its not like I just through a couple arms on a tractor and drove it backwards.

Hmmmm what about that boom truck, dually, or the Atlas moving truck. Did you ever get the bugs worked out of old Big Bud.

What your old lady got your jewels locked up so you had come on here busting mine.

Well I now have most of the hyd components to get this build operating. I now just need to order the fittings and hose on Monday then I can see if this thing is going to work.

Valves

Pump

Cylinders

Here is a pic of the fitting style I will be using, made by EATON called Push>Connect. The hose used with this style connector has a WP of 250PSI and BP of 1000PSI

Your cyls are all 16mm dia?

Not sure what this is, never heard of it before.. some detail pics of its installation would be great Travis.

Yes both the lift and tilt cyls are 16mm which is close to scale for the real loader.

The fittings will be way overkill but they are much easier to work with and are available at my local hyd shop. They are real similar to the push connectors used for air lines in semi's but these are metal and designed to work with liquids.

Here are some update pics and a short video of the loader. Izzy came down for a visit and I had all of the parts for the hydraulics so we finished up the loader part of the machine. Now I just have to build the body parts and paint it. We did try it out in the sandbox and it did real well for a machine with no cutting edge, just a blunt edge on a 1/8 in piece of plate and no counter weight.

Here is a short video.

Thanks for looking.

Good to see you making headway on this Travis.

Your bucket dump articulation looks limited at low height... some re engineering needed there?

Thanks Joe, no the articulation is good at both boom up and down. I was just trying to keep the bucket level in the video. I will get some pics of it in both positions. Youtube has been a pain to upload to today.

About 1/3 up.

Almost all the way up at 11 1/2in from the cutting edge to the table. The loader has enough height to clear the mammoth by 1in with the bucket tipped down.

Looks good Travis, I forgot all about this animal, hope you get to stay with it this time and finish it! Maybe the big guy can get it done for you, you do have him building trucks for you by now, right?

Thanks and yes I plan on making a cutting edge and I even have the right bolts for it in 3MM. I also have plans for an overflow backrest for the top of the bucket as well.

Thanks and I owe a big thanks to Izzy for coming down this week end and working on it. Izzy mounted the pump, valves, filter and bucket cylinders. Even though I had some of the parts made for the bucket linkage Izzy spent some time finishing those parts and making the rest.

I did end up going with the Leimbach valves and pump instead of the jung pump and Robbie valves.
