Hmmm, was the new motor struggling to drive the Cat out of that hole, or were the tires slipping? What voltage are you running on that motor? Seems to be set up for 12 volts. No idea of the gear reduction, but at 1,425 rpm, it seems to be about right, after considering the reduction in the axles as well.

No tyres slipping, running a 10 pack of aa 2700ma batteries @12volts
The reduction on the diffs are 15 to 1
