What a beautiful looking truck and trailer combination, Gaetan! It's definitely up to par with some of the best looking models I've seen on this forum. The paint on the tractor looks amazing, and I really like to see the King Haulers turned into Peterbilts. That's what Tamiya should have done from the start. This is a very, very sharp truck/trailer combination. I like the coiled steel load as well. I work at a local manufacturer, and we recieve countless coils of steel every day. I've always been a little fasinated by some of the trucks that deliver them. Your's definitely looks the part.

Hi everyones!
Many thanks for your comments ! It's an honour, despite I think it's really overrated , to be compare to the greats builders here! It's my first building and I can't tell how this forum is a great source of infos and knowledge .

Espeefan: Thank you! I'm very glad to see that you like it! Comments from a builder of your grade are very rewarding! I'm working as operator (and occasionally overhead crankman...) in a galvanizing steel plant. That's where I took my inspiration . And I agree with you about the King Hauler as a Peterbilt: it should be that from the start!
I foresee many improvements for the next weeks (steel wheels, some details, wireless connexions (already ordered from Ss-tronix, etc.)) but I'm clearly not fast as most builders here! And the way I took to put add-on after the construction is not a time saving one!

Grumpygrady: You can see many (too many?) pictures of the building here: http://s1196.photobucket.com/albums/...r/RC%20Camion/ but most of the add-on parts were not made by me . Unfortunatly, there's no picture of the coils' making but I explained basically how I did it in answer #16 of this topic. Feel free to ask if I can help you otherway .

Hi everyone! It takes a long time but I finally find some times to put on my truck! I received my SS-Tronix wireless kit many weeks ago but last months were not the best time for me to put on it...

About the kit itself, it's very very professionnal! Everythings are well explained and the packaging and the kit itself looks very well made. And most of all, it works like a charm!

Here's some pictures of the first part of the installation in the truck itself. Some of the installation of the trailers' parts should follow I also make a little movie of a setup I've done for testing. I'll put it here after some works on it

You can see some others here if you want
http://s1196.photobucket.com/albums/...cpZZ8QQtppZZ28

Feel free to ask questions if you have!
And keep on building!

Hi everyone! I finally installed my wireless kit on my b-train (I know I'm not rapid but we have a really pretty summer this year...).
Here's a vid where you can see it works (around the middle I think). But be prepared, I'm not James Cameron neither a good driver

Here's also some new pictures of my rigs.

Among many things I want to do, the next one will probably be a streched frame and longers fuel tanks.

Thanks for viewing and keep on building!

Great video! Nice choice of music too, when most consider trucking and country music to go together. The truck is looking as good as ever. The wireless system seems to work very well.

Thanks a lot!
I patiently, with perseverance, learn to make vids... Not the results I have in my mind when I make it (lol), but was funny to do!
The wireless system works perfectly and was relatively easy to install, "relatively" mostly because I don't have a standard setup, but really "plug&play" and very well build. A very good quality product in my opinion.
I agree that most (I'm part of it) consider that trucking and country live well together! Even if I'm not a real country fan, I think the rythm and most of the themes perfectly fit with the mind. And I'm a fan of The Band...

Cat29, the hardest part is done ! Starting!! After, it's only pleasure...
Keep us inform!

Thanks guys! I'm happy you like it!

I like your signature Claus, I agree with you!

Bigdogrod, the kit from Sstronix is the wireless "module" added to the Tamiya mfu for connecting my two trailers without any wires between them. When installed, it works exactly the same way than before. It's also a power source for adding lights either on tractor (with add-on interface) or trailers.
The module itself is relatively small compare to mfu but the require place must be verify if you don't have space in your cab...
Did I answer your question? Don't hesitate if it's not

Hi mrxreight! I suppose you're talking about the rear fenders? If it is, here's the german site where I ordered them:

http://www.custom-model-trucks-and-parts.com/

It's all in german but the guy there speaks english.

Just tell me if I'm wrong, my english knowledge is a bit basic...
