staring at this thing , an Idea to be different with a wedico pete popped into my head and I just had to see how it would look It's a little rough but just a mock up so I know how I want to proceed . I think I'm liking the 379xth look ( I think ) Now new fenders or needed and diffinately a new grill also a new scale front axle to get the hight right thats not going to happen anytime soon as I got enough on my plate
when I make the actual hood it'll be in 3 pieces panel glued and rivited ( not p rivets either) .

thanks for looking aaand more gray hairs till next time

Aha, excellent. New and different. Another name company name suggestion, "R.C. Crapper"

You guys do realise that the modern flush toilet was actually revolutionised by a John Crapper? Hence where the phrase comes from.

Wow Steve, nobody but you would attempt body work on a metal cab wedico! And I always wondered to myself if anyone had ever attempted converting the wedico 359 to a 379. This may be a world premiere! If you're making this into a long nose pete, are you still gonna make it a poop truck?? New fenders, long hood, lower axle... Sounds like a large car to me!

yea , still a pumper but not sure on keeping the wedi chassis I was toying with doing this before I even got a hold of a wedi it's nothing new to me I remade a lot of old IH rusted out body pannels . I'm not sure I'll be the only 1 but I'm only doing this once . I thought about making a die , but for just this 1 , I'm going with the hammer and sand bag route . I might make a mini english wheel though

Hey Steve, have you considered cutting the mold & die via cnc, and using a hydraulic press to crunch out the pieces? My neighbor's make there mold's out of hardwood for 1 time use, or aluminum for multi use. Market for the corn binder's?
Later, Neil.

Neil I don't think to many people restore the old bubble nose fleetstars I did enough of them 1 of them is 3 cabs in 1 + new hammered back corners the 1st 1 I ran I put 3 549 gassers in then converted it over to diesel with a 466B then rebuilt that motor before the frame rotted through at the tandems its now a single axle . still has the best cab in the fleet next to my 2070A . the 3 cabs in 1 has yet to get back together My dad is hoping to put it on a s1900 frame before he passes to put my 1st back together , to complete the old fleet . If he doesn't I will in my spare time
