Thanks Travis , yes I agree not much travel... End point adjustment? How do I do that? I ran through the MFU SW1 setting . What else can I do to increase servo travel? Can I get a micro servo with single direction with more travel if I have too?

Oh yeah, I think I'm a couple splines off neutral position and the rod knuckle is catching on the cross member hole. Need to file down the knuckle a little smoother.

I guess I would need to know what radio your using, the end point adjustment should be in the radio.

Oops, lol. I have a airtronics VG600 radio and I see the endpoint adjustment screws. Correct me if I'm wrong but 5th wheel means elevator correct?

Yep the elevator is for the fifth wheel.

End point on elevator is at max. I adjusted the rod, smoothed the edge of knuckle and all is quite with the servo now. I tested the hook and unhook on my flatbed and besides the fact this truck stands a little taller than mine and I needed to add a little thickness to the leg pads, it hooks and unhooks great. Indoor testing is one thing though, wont know till spring when I get on some outdoor terrain and speeds if it may come unlatched or not.
Once again Travis, thanks for the help and info

Hey all ! S&M trucking now has a new loader!
I ordered this machine on Jan 4th. It left Spain on the 11th and arrived at my door on the 29th. That's not too bad for shipping time. I'm impressed.
Couple things I'm not impressed with..... At some point in its travel, the box must have been left upside down because when I pulled it out of the box there is hyd oil all over it the box was looking pretty rough and the loader did suffer some minor damage like a broken tab and a crack in the front belly pan frame section. No big deal, I glued the crack and installed a small screw to replace the plastic tab. The electronics and hydraulics install is well done and all fits nice.
The guy has great skills to do this conversion but needs to work on his packing skills.

Oh, one other thing. I purchased the lipo battery and charger with the loader but the AC cord it comes with has a plug which looks more like a sex toy than something you plug in the wall!
Lesson learned.... Never buy a charger or anything you expect to plug into the wall from a guy on the other side of the ocean

Pics are coming..... Have to finish cleaning the hyd oil off of it first

Hey All, I have a small Black Passion update!

I was going to wait till things are closer to final assembly before posting more pics but I'm just so happy with how the lights are coming along, I wanted to post pics
A big thanks to Travis for reccomending replacing the 3 volt bulbs in the cab marker lights with led
i had a minor problem with the air cleaner lights which is now fixed and will install next along with lights under the cab door and fender skirt thanks to Kaf343

Thanks again so much to everyone involved in this build so far Steve, Rick, Alfy,Rod, John,Ric,Paul, Keith.
because without your help and talents, it wouldnt look like this......

Here's low beam.....

and now high beam...

I apologize to all who may think this build is dragging on but I like how well all is going and looking.Besides....last time I checked its still -20C outside and another foot of snow just fell in the time it took me to post this message

thanks for looking and any comments or suggestions

Mario

ohh and the body is just resting and not mounted in the pics just incase anyone noticed the gap between sleeper lights and sleeper

Great news! Talked with my tech, Mario-lol, last night..As I will be busy with a volleyball tournament today, and most parts are here-just waiting on a couple things. My truck will be uncovered today and work will be done, maybe even enough for some more pics to be posted...woot! woot! One happy girl!

Sorry, small update only on Black Passion.
I have been getting stuff done, wiring is almost done almost ready to drop the cab on for good!
one thing i had to complete was the cab skirt plates that Kaf343 made for me and they are now mounted and thought i would share how they look so far.....

Next is drill the holes and mount the 10 1.8mm leds I have for each side

By the time I'm done, I think even Smiley will be proud of me

I guess my master plan of doing everything in the proper order on this build went out the window now
I have a fully wired and decked out cab which I find myself taking on and off the chassis a million times as careful as i can while im still mounting and adding to the chassis.
oh well, bound to happen, only my second truck

Thanks for looking

Mario

Looking awesome Mario. Really looking good. Sue must be happy to see it back together again. Hopefully it warms up a bit up there and you can run it.

Thanks Keith. I'm very pleased with how they turned out.
This was by far the most tricky to install. To make them fit and clear the steps on the chassis and also fit the cab perfectly was a challenge
Fortunately I did not have to touch the cab plastic, just some minor hand file work, double and triple check fit on chassis and cab then altogether.... About 4 hrs later and now ready for the lighting stage

Thanks Bigrigger, yes, Rick did an incredible job on the paint. You can hold and look at the cab at any angle and it is very hard to see any flaws in it at all

Running videos are coming but not until the cab goes on one last time.

Thanks Paul, means a lot to me coming from one of the masters of clean fit and finish
I'm sure this build would have moved along a little quicker if it wasn't for the fact that 80% of the build has been on our small kitchen table which Susan has been nice enough to allow me to pretty much own it since November

So I guess, not bad for a kitchen table build eh?

Hey all.
Going to see the graphics guy on Monday. Here is a rough picture of font style and layout. the actual decals will be in black and chrome just like the hood logos. not the grey in the pic.

plan on getting them for the trucks and the tanker, lowboy, refer and dump trailers. Should look sweet

Tell me what ya think?

Mario
