Been working on a new B50 with a pup this winter. I went with brushed motors in this one, it'll run a little quicker than the old one with brushless.

Fast?! What are you being funny?
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyways, just about done with this adt & pup ![]() I made a valve divider block from brass for the pup ![]() ![]() ![]() This dump cyl was on the trk, right side... the flexible hose going to the "T" I think I made it a bit too short, box going up/down - changing angles tugging a bit on this fitting broke it loose from the tube. Pipe goes up to top of tube & broke loose from that soldered joint... buffed the paint off, resolder, repaint, put it on pup after dinner today. ![]() ![]() Got the box on the pup, put oil to the cyls ![]() This is where the connection is for the pup hyds ![]() Got a leak, hoping I just over tightened the fitting & crushed the seal too much... put on a new fitting with some thread seal... give a couple hrs to set & try it again. ![]() Made up some exhaust pipes from 5/16 Plastruct tube for this adt & the others ![]() This air cleaner is 3D printed, used an 8mm magnet to hold it place for pictures & filming, leave it off during regular use so it don't get so dirty. ![]() ![]() And I'm motivated to get busy putting this WA500 wheel loader together next, it's only 4yrs next month that I've had it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Degrease the cyls today & paint them yellow ![]() The drive belt on my lathe is toast ![]() ![]() I was looking on https://www.mcmaster.com/#drive-belts/=1booul2 (I see the link won't go directly to page I was looking at; it's the T5 series timing belt) My operators manual gave the dimensions 124 x 1.5 x 15 which is metric for teeth - depth - width When I measure the length I get 584mm & pitch is 5mm Gonna be one of these 3 belts ![]() ![]() T5-575-16 575 115 5 Urethane Gray -13° to 176° 1679K518 9.10 T5-610-16 610 122 5 Urethane Gray -13° to 176° 1679K545 9.51 T5-630-16 630 126 5 Urethane Gray -13° to 176° 1679K522 9.51

Got er done... well except for the decals & a couple of other bitty parts that'll show up in a few months.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Missing the fuel cap & fuel drain plug ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Off to get the 1st load ![]() Start painting the cab on the old B50 shortly... more than 50cy hauled in the last 3yrs ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Trying to pull the steep grade with pup in tow, the rims on the tandem axle were slipping bad in the tires, I had to pull hard by hand to get the truck up the hill... I really hate gluing tires... not sure what this gasket maker goo will do, smeared it on today, see what it's like tomorrow. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Broomed off the ramp, nearly 5 gallon of clay powder/dust, very slippery. Road is wearing down bad! ![]() ![]() Soaked the roadway with water, sprinkle on the fines, soaked it some more, rebuild the surface to make it smooth. Lay down some asphalt to protect the surface. ![]() ![]() The fines pile grew a lot in the last week! ![]()

Now that is a lot of goodness, and hard work done. Really enjoy watching the progress a lot, and with new machines on the plant new challenges shows up. Heavy traffic can put some roads on a test for sure. hope you can adjust for a smooth haul road and get it where it needs to go. I could not resist to mess with one of your pictures.........a drone pix of your site....looks like so 1/1
Hope you don't mind i did this.......[IMG] ![]() Looking forward to vids....crunch crunch. |

Did you just zoom the pic Bo? It does look moreso 1:1
![]() Thanx Tom. The dump area is almost too small for this combo. I do have a 2x25 Sabertooth in the trk & a power wire coming from the cab Greg to put power to the axles on the pup, don't really want to b/c cornering makes it act weird... I have some hubs with one-way roller clutches that I made up for the 8wd 4206 cross dump, but took them off b/c I discovered I sometimes needed 8wd in both directions with that rig. I can't make that alteration till I get my lathe working again... ordered belts from McMaster yesterday... the slow bus through customs. ![]()

Thanx Brandon, I like it too... get this rim slippage problem solved, then hammer down!
A vid showing the 963 leveling the fines pile, had to reload the vid b/c the original kept pausing for reasons I do not know ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_xf_I581ug

Joe-I agree with Bo-that is very nice dozer work. The herky-jerky stuff I see on here sometimes makes me crazy. You and dirtpusher (d-9 joe) as I call him are the best R/C dozer operators I have seen. Speaking of the D-9. Will it ever work again or is it worn out?

Well thanx Bo & Tom, much appreciated, I always try to put on a good show.
![]() ![]() The 1/10th scale D9 still has earth caked on it from the 2012 St Louis meet, D9 Joe kept the radio for it & I haven't turned it on since... it'll last longer this way. ![]() ![]() I asked Frank his advice what he uses for rim slippage, this stuff is the same (so I'm told by my autobody guy) as the pic he showed me. ![]() ![]() I thought I'd do my old B50 too, as I see rim slippage sometimes on the front axle when I try to back up a steep pile of lumps to start a new layer. ![]() ![]() ![]() Of course I couldn't help but wear some of it too ![]() ![]() I found a nail in one of the tires, how's that for scale detail? ![]() ![]() ![]()
