Default Searching for bigs loaders tires...

Hi everyone,
I'm a bit far of the trucking construction hobby actually (
) but there's my friend Reynald (http://www.rctruckandconstruction.co...hlight=reynald, http://rctruckandconstruction.com/showthread.php?t=3482) who's starting the building of a 1:9 scale loader and want to know if somebody knows a place for buying 9" tires, or around, with loader threads, or knowing a way to made them.
I know there's Modelman (http://www.rctruckandconstruction.co...read.php?t=486) who made some for a Cat mining truck some years ago but not sure if this way is a good one for such bigs tires...
I'm writing for him because he can't in english... I'm just a bit better than him
For those of you that want to see where I'm sitting now, there's some vids: https://www.youtube.com/user/Brooklyn6163/videos and if you want to review my old pete's: http://www.rctruckandconstruction.co...ead.php?t=1751

Thanks for your attention,
& long life to rc trucking and RC Truck & construction forum!!

B-Train Hauler-making these large tires may be the best option provided someone has the skills and machinery to do it. The tires are easy to make but the master part (plug) is the hard part. The master would need to be machined from a solid pc. of stock- wood, aluminum, delrin, etc. and build the mold from that. The tires will be costly since it will take a lot of liquid rubber for a tire this size. A few years back TD-9 clyde was looking for large tires for a scraper he built and could not find anything. If I remember, I think they were in the 7"-8" range but no luck. Good luck-sounds like this will be a really large model!!

Thanks a lot!

Modelman, I think so! Reynald has for sure the skill and machinery to do it. He already made many big locomotives, one steamer directly from his own molding and have a long experience with steel castings. http://s1196.photobucket.com/user/B-...20de%20Reynald
His excavator and truck are also an 1:9 scale For sure it will be big stuff
But when I look at the price on the site suggested by J-hammer (thanks to you too!), around $120 each, making them could be effectively a good option. He firstly wanted to know some option to deal with, it's done!

Thanks for these rapid answers sirs! I will make a follow up of his project. But as he live far from me, I have to wait for his own pics...
