The paint looks great. The masking really gave you some clean lines. What kind of tape did you use? I always seem to have problems with clean lines and bleed through. I had the best luck with Pactra masking tape!

well, got a coat of clear on it, and some assembly done. will need to "tint" the windows, i thought they would be darker. i have a grill made but i need to get a new moisture trap for my compressor/airbrush before i can spray the chrome paint.

enjoy!

thanks!
i actually used automotive pinstriping to mask the lines, i find 1/8 is the best for curves/bends.
also then you put masking tape over the pinstriping to cover a larger area, make sure you pull the pinstriping before the paint is too dry, leaves a nice clean line!

Your trailer's main frame is looking really nice. Great start to a drop deck! Did you cut and curve the webs off the rear rails to flow into the drop, from the rear? That's a nice touch.

thanks nate.

my machine shop consists of a scroll saw, 18v drill and some files, so it isnt anything too elaborate!
i notched the suspension frame and bent the top over a piece of 1/8" i cut out to give it the curved look of a fontaine double drop. i plan on getting some aluminum brazing supplies and trying my hand at that.

Well its update time.

re did the frame rails and traded out russ's old style air ride for the new, stretched the frame a little and added some goodies. work truck bumper and center rear bumper from russ also, the rims are IHB and the tanks i trimmed the step mounts off the stock ones and flipped them. (thanks dwayne) its still in mock up as there are a few more things to change but ive got the basics down, and it drives now! although quietly, but it does.
the pics arent the best but it was early (or late? 4am anyway) when i was taking them

Mario

Oh yeah, the driveshaft looks real beefy! Is that a rc4wd shaft?
