Default Liebherr R945 G8

Hello everyone!

The basic idea was to use my old homemade R944C for the excavator seat currently under construction. The technology is quite up to date, but some parts have been in operation since 1999. A refurbishment was therefore pending to ensure that it runs safely again. After we had no training for almost 12 weeks, I unfortunately lost my way during this time. Actually I just wanted to make the uppercarriage panel new, in the end it accidentally turned into an R945. You might argue about the design, but it fascinated me. In addition, I currently do not know anyone in the model.

With the pdf from Liebherr and two high-resolution press photos, we went to CAD. Here is the first draft:

I wanted to continue using the old undercarriage, just convert it to the Premacon slewing ring, the motors in the undercarriage could be shut down and there were a few new laser parts. As I said, it unfortunately grabbed me a bit and meanwhile the R945 is sitting on an undercarriage of the R946 from Premacon. The cabin also comes from there.

But now for the details. A model by Martin Kampshoff / Premacon at the time is installed in the model. It fills a Meinhardt valve block. The tank comes from Premacon. The electronic reins take a Brixl in hand, the sound module is from Servonaut. A big advantage of the new design is the infinite space in the uppercarriage. This model is constantly fed from below through the rotating union with + -12V, but thanks to the new, clever distribution board from Premacon, you can switch it using the four terminal strips and the motors can be started up and a Hacker4000 can be installed.

After the technology was so far it was time to detail the paneling. I've almost finished the top cover:
