AGCO-Hesston windrower
Hi together!
Hereby I want to present my actual project: The scale should be about 1/16 (as far as I could take dimensions from the pics in the brochure on the AGCO website...) I´ll take two geared morors for the transmission...

Re: AGCO-Hesston windrower
Very neat! I'm also looking forward to seeing the progress. Discbine, or haybine head? I think a discbine head would be a lot easier to build! It could probably be functional too.

Re: AGCO-Hesston windrower
Today I connected the frame of the mower to the chassis and I started with some parts for the cab:
The drive motors for the front wheels and the mower discs are already ordered. For the discs I´ll take 2 brushless motors (12 Volts, 31000rpm) with a belt transmission to the discs (ratio 3:1). The next parts to be ordered will be the tothed belts and pulleys for the discs.

Re: AGCO-Hesston windrower
The TLT used a toothed belt for the transmission if I recall correctly. Pulleys might be harder to find unless you have a different source

Re: AGCO-Hesston windrower
I´ll take them from this supplier:
http://www.maedler.de/ ...gears, joint shafts, pulleys, belts...they got a big choice of standard parts...

Great progress! Keep going. I am enjoying this build a lot. Everything is looking really good right now. The handrails are perfect. Can't wait to see this model completed. It's going to be sharp!
