Hi Dave,
I have spoken with Kevin Hetmanski before about having an event, as such, closer to the east coast area. These setups requires lots of logistic planning and with no or very little sponsorship, its difficult for the average member to travel greater than 8hrs. I am sure an r/c truck and construction display would be a great addition your event.

A show such as this is all hype and big money sponsors. I wouldn't get all excited about this unless they were begging are venue to attend.
As far as the East Coast, we have a place to expand at the Cabin Fever Expo.
and maybe Indy would offer more.
