Default king hauler dump

So i'v been pretty quite here for a while and i'v just got back into it.

this build will be A king hauler day cab with one of Reg's dump box's.

The truck came in the mail today I got the black edition because it was about $40 cheaper for some reason, i'll end up painting it another colour though.

it'l be 6x6 with a TLT-01 axle in the front, and for now I am borrowing the R2 transmission out of my R620 build.

unfortunately I can't do anything really until the rest of what i'v ordered comes.

And I also got this the other day, it's an electric screwdriver and for $15 it's a cool little tool.

Yeah they are looking pretty **** awesome!

I managed to find some bearings I had laying around so I got the rear axles together, I used 80,000 wt grease instead of the tamiya stuff so as to lock the axles up abit to give it more traction off road.

In my blue COE Dump I have the rear axle locked, just put the 3 spline gears together instead of staggered. I can take a pic tomorrow to explain better if need be. this way the rear is basically a posi rear end and the front is limited slip so as long as the rear grabs im good. you could lock the front and leave the rear open either way works good. some lock both

Ok, yeah if it wouldn't be too much trouble that would be great.
I'm always open to suggestions.

Thanks buzzy

Your box hit the powder coaters yesterday so it should be ready when you are.

So I got on to it and made the cut, it was actually really exciting, it's the first major body work that I have done.

these little clips are very handy too.

I was someone using this on the forum and I decided to see what it's like, oonly time will tell I suppose.

It's abit messy but sanding and what not will fix that up.

thanks for looking.

Bondo shrinks I think. I use the squadron green putty. seems ok

I used to use the testors stuff back in my 1/25th scale days and didn't see any problems with it

well that's a relief dabears

I did some sanding today and i'll pick up some primer after work tomorrow to see if it needs more.

it's probably not the best work but it is only the second time i'v worked with putty.

Looking good Buzzy. What color are you going with?
I guess you brought RCP57's 2nd dump box he built based on my design.
Did you have him make any other modifications to it?

John

Thanks john, and I have actually decided yet, I'll just leave that till I get everything together and make my mind up.

And yeah I just couldn't help myself haha, and nah no modifications it's a very good design already.
