Hi...
The new plate is cut out, glued and a bit sanded. An additional styrene piece is glued behind the middle part so that it is more stable. Now it must try completely to be able to finish the sanding and the cut out of the windows. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hi...
2 little steps. 1. I want to use smaller seals for the side windows, but I need something to give them the possibility to hold the window. Before ![]() ![]() After ![]() 2. I wanted to fix the grill at the bonnet. It's planned to fix the grill from behind. I drilled holes and threaded them. ![]() After that small pieces if brass are solded into the outside of the holes and sanded until it's no longer seen. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now the grill can be screwed to the bonnet. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

That's a sweet looking ride you've got going on there! I wish my build skills were talented enough to pull off something like that.

Hi...
During the last days I've rebuilt the sleeper. My english is not the best, so I'll just present the pictures of the steps. If there are some questions, just post and I try to answer. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hi...
many thanx for your reply... ![]() While the sleeper is drying, I had a look at the lower parts of the fenders. They were mounted as one piece directly to the frame, but I want to have them split and mounted to the floor of the cabine, so that I can adjust them individually. I assume, the work brought the wanted result. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Another advantage is, that I do have more space on the frame for the electronic components. ![]()

Hi..
At the weekend I found some King Hauler parts and I decided to use the air filters for the C509, but they must be modified, because it must have air pipes with air entry parts (I don't know the englisch word) on the level of the roof of the cab. The pipes shown on the pictures are not the final part. I only have 8mm brass tubes and 6mm round full brass rods. So I created 2 pieces that will be soldered on both sides of the pipe. To get the holes centered in the rod, I took a piece of the 8mm pipe to get the drill centered. On one side I made a 3mm thread, on the other side a 4.5mm hole to place the "nose" of the air entries in. ![]() ![]() ![]() After that I started to assemble the parts. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Final position (please keep in mind, the pipes will be longer in the final version. ![]() ![]() ![]() Later I will remove the chrome, all "chrome parts" will get the same color. That's it for today.

Your assembly/soldering jig is terrific. Who makes it or what is the brand name? I want to see if I can find something similar here. Very nice brass work.
