Smile Hello from london

My names nathan and have always been in to machinery however since i was 13 and im now 16, i am obssessed with radio control machines, Especially excavators. I own a hobby engine digger which is rubbish witj no power. I am thinking of either buying machines in the price range of 200-700 pound. Or i have always liked the idea of building one myself. If any of you have any suggestions of where to start with this please leave me with comments ! Thanks

Hello London, and good day to you Nathan welcome to the forum. I may could help on that hobby engine excavator power problem. Its better to own a premium brand so you have control the bucket, stick and the boom separately. Then you want to open her up and get to the actuator controlling the bucket. carefully remove it and open it. There you will find a clutch, it is what makes that clicking noise. It looks like a gear(cog) with a spring attached to it. Remove that and clean all the grease off, use degreaser or something to remove grease. Then glue the to sides together. That will stop the clicking and give better bucket power.
If you have the non-premium brand you will have to do the same to all the clutches except the tracks.
Then a upgrade to a better brand of battery pack will also help significantly, watch the voltage rating you don't want to burn anything out.
I was having problems finding any metal parts if the are any. So I started making them myself I have a videos on YouTube on my progress. https://youtu.be/AQmY4FDGK8s check it out it may help.http:// I'm not done yet I'm still making changes.http://
