Default Capacity yard spotter

Been wanting to do a yard truck for some time now.Gonna use a R2 transmission for the needed space.Hoping to use a Firgelli for the lift on the fifth wheel. Heres what I have so far. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

Very cool did you build the cab? It really looks the part. Will it have a servo controlled 5th wheel?

Awesome start. Obviously, you have been planning this a while, since the cab is not only assembled but has a killer weathered paint job.

Waiting to see the lift mechanism.

Thanks guys! Ive had the cab for quite awhile now. It was one one the cabs I had Rick do for me. Hoping the lift mechanism works as I imagined it. The servo controlled release would be nice but not sure how to pull that one off with the fifth wheel articulating that much. Maybe with a cable.

I was going to say cable control or if the servo can ride with the lift it would work...

It's actually funny because I myself have been working on a release on a replica ottawa switcher truck... And it wouldn't work because the fifth wheel needs to pivot and if a linkage is attached to it, it still don't work.... I have a few other ideas I'm going to go with myself.... If you don't yet, follow me on Facebook to see the kit come together..... Good job so far Fred...

Your right cable would be the way to go.
