Thanks Bucshott

I managed to get the wrong linear actuator per the company, so it'll probably be another 2 to 2-1/2 weeks till I get it to break down remotely. So I rigged it to work, so I could pull it around. The trailer "sags" in the front for now but won't once it's hooked up properly. I hope to build a flip/tag axle also.

Lou- will your Deere log loader fit on here?

Very nice Rig and lowboy Ben..I tossed a few numbers around and if im correct ..It might...Im guessing that you have about 28 inches from the back of the gooseneck to the rear of the trailer..The counterweight is about 4 inches off the deck so it should just fit over the gooseneck...The Deere is 36 inches from the back of the tracks to the liveheel when its in the upright position ..It may just fit with a Tag axle I would have to check what the length is with the boom and stick folded up to legal height..Thats what they must use to move these machines around..Once again nice work ...Cheers lou

I managed to get my linear actuator. It works nicely I must say but it isn't going to be strong enough to do the job. I think I'm going to try a small gear motor I have. Video below (the alarm in the background is a truck backing up at the firehouse)

Thanks Travis. I was very pleased when it worked as well as it did. Hope my gear motor idea works even better.

Nice! Lovin that lowboy. Truck is good too. Post some photos of that beaver tail you mentioned - please.

Nice clean workmanship!

Stacks and rims are some real nice bling!

Thanks Guys.

Izzy, when I mentioned the beaver tail, I was talking about the rear frame portion of tractor, not the rear of the lowboy. I believe the lowboy may become scrap, unless I make it static (no removable neck) it's just not working the way I want it to and still look good.

The cab is undergoing a make over along with some other items, new paint (didn't care for the original fit and finish of the body filler that was performed before I purchased it) and my paint job afterwards. So I've got a lot to accomplish in a month before Brookville with three different builds/refurbish projects.

Welp I managed to screw up my paint scheme, painted the opposite of what I wanted to do. I guess we'll see what it looks like and go from there.

Here's my belly dump I finished a few months back, still refining the tractor. Hopefully I will be done with the lowboy and 357 by the time Indy rolls around.
