A few pictures of my cab, the window edges painted black before glueing the windows in.

The door with its window glued in. I still need to finish this off the black edging sticker supplied with the kit

Upgraded my Graupner gimbals for 4D versions, will give me the ability to use the aux functions now. A fairly cheap and simple upgrade although fairly nerve racking opening up a graupner radio

Also got a few hours on the 490 in my garden

Those gumball controls look like they'd be nice to have. Much easier to use than the stock sticks, I'd think.

I think so Joe, haven't got many hours on it so far. My only problem is the stick cylinder - I can't decide if its faulty or not. It doesn't seem to have much power but maybe I'm expecting too much from it?
Whats the digging power of your 490 like?

I have my pressure turned down to 18bar, I dig in cultivated soil & it won't pull the model off its perch... if the stick with is pulling the model around, the pressure is too high... but with 14mm cyl bores on this model I don't think it's possible anyway... what do have your pressure set to?

Keep in mind raising/lowering pressure will greatly affect reaction speed too.

It's set to around 22bar, I'm not trying to dig up my garden or anything extreme. Just I feel it should have a little more power?
I don't have anything to compare it so maybe it's okay. Certainly digging sand it managed easily

Talking Re: Fumotec 490

Hello everyone,

A few small jobs on the 490 I've been working on. A stone guard has been added along with a beacon, i'll paint this at a later date.

I've also been fitting an adjustable pressure relief valve to the system, for this I had to remove all the electrics and re-locate them elsewhere. Still setting it up on the t/x but initially everything works smoothly and should hopefully improve my run times

Before I started

After I had re-installed everything
