I guess this may be a dumb question, and surely a Newb question, but ....
Is 1:10 or 1:8 scale much of anything built when it comes to trucks and construction equip? Just too large or no factory suppliers?

Talking Re: Hello from Massachusetts

I have looked around a bit also THX, and it appears that 1/10 might be too big of a scale for doing this kind of stuff. I have done 1/10 scale crawler stuff, but when I wanted to get into doing this I could not find much of anything that would work for fire apparatus in this scale. Plus, when i did the scale measurements out on the aerial I am doing, the frame rails alone would be over 4 feet long. Seems the larger in equipment you go, the smaller in scale you need to be. (I am hoping someone can prove me wrong in this though....still would be killer to make some things in 1/10 scale.)

Hi guy's, most of the stuff available is scaled in 1/14 or 1/16. You can build to any scale you want to. Hope this help's! And welcome aboard!
Later, Neil#2 aka doodlebug.
