I like that idea Joe! I was worried that if I made rails out of wood they could warp in the elements but cutting slots won't move and should work......I'm gonna test that out on a chunk. Thanks

thanks for the offer Mike. It's just shy of 5ft. Hold on for a bit though. I'm going to try Joes suggestion first.

Thanks RW. I agree being able to move is a big plus. I figure this way I can load a trailer parked in the dock slot or can park a trailer parallel along the dock and load there.....for those who can't back the trailer into a slot...... Not me though! I've got video proof I can do it!

Just got home from a trip to visit family and friends. While we were gone I happened to walk through the dollar store withi the wife and discovered some really cool mini lights!
I'm very happy with the lights I found at crappy tire and thought I was doing good with 4 bucks per light. But these other lights are much better and cheaper! Very bright, head and arm pivot and hold in whatever position, kinda look like street lights and..... 1.25 each. Replacement battery cost is 3 for 1.25.
So a win win and of course I cleaned them out . 10 lights for just under 15 bucks, can't go wrong.

So for all you Canadians on the forum, keep an eye out for these at your local dollarama.

Yes, fall is coming and the days are getting shorter but that's ok. I'm ready for it this year.

Got my street lights built using 3 simple ingredients. 1/2" plumbers plastic tubing, some of those wooden plug filler things and the lights I got from Dollar Tree. Which I'm now told is US based so not just a Canadian store.

Anyway, here's how they turned out. Once again, simple, but effective.
