Talking McAllister Pan Car Semi.

A Little something different. Before we were blessed with the Tamiya King Hauler there was the McAllister pan car semi..

Well just about done with the McAllister Semi Truck. I have the body all mounted and just got the trailer yesterday from Andy Jacobson and he killed it the pair looks awesome together filled a childhood dream for me one to have a McAllister Pan Semi but also to have it painted by Andy himself. O was able to get Gary McAllister to repop a semi body for me and now he is offering them for sale again and Andy was all over painting it scene he had never done one.

Now I did not follow the instructions on how to do either the pan chassis or trailer. I built another axle for the pan instead of sticking the axle threw the body one reason why is its not strong enough but also the chassis has rare up grades to it with McAllister 4 link rear and McAllister rc10 front arm kit but it also has a set of Andy's rc10 arms on it.

The trailer I built a trailer for under the lexan trailer shell out of 1/4 pvc sheet so the trailer is very strong without weakening the lexan the trailer carries the weight. And I also supported the 5th wheel also so the lexan was not carrying the weight.

Enjoy now it's time to find some period-correct radio gear for it. I want to go with a Novak servo.

Nice paint job. Any photos of the chassis? I remember building a 6 wheel pan car but it really didn't work except on an absolutely flat surface. It was hard to have both sets of rear wheels on the ground at the same time.

Yes I do. I set mine out a little different running 2 drive axles so I should be good.

I know "Mr. McAllister" Gary pretty good I asked him if he would pop me one and he did and now he has sold a few again.

Great build Tamiya, my local hobby shop has one of these on the shelf and I keep eyeing it to put on display with other race trailers.

Plus that paint job is just perfect, I had Andy do one of my RC10T bodies to replicate my first RC truck. So glad that he is still doing custom paint for people, he can do the 90's like nothing else.
