It's a little big for my pit unfortunately and it's a John Deere......... Sorry, ain't gonna happen! Quote:
The blade is motorized with a huge plastic gear box that has to go. It won't drop the blade below level with the tracks. I might try to use the existing linkage system with a high torque servos. Upgrading and added aluminum plating will add some weight but can't get too heavy or next problem will be the tracks.... Yup, I think it's very first time Rc conversion friendly Quote:
The timing is terrible for this project! It's a perfect winter plan but I got work for a dozer now! Which reminds me..... I have to put spreader chains on the dump truck! |

Re: Toy dozer has RC potential!
Not sure if this is the right place to continue this thread but I've actually begun my first toy conversion to full RC.
Ordered some motors from robotshop , faster speed than I wanted but the right size , decent strength and cheap price. Mounted up to the stock sprockets real nice... The way the final drives were assembled from new bright, the covers are remove able so all is hidden. Start hacking plastic ..... Reinforcement..... And the first test of the track speed @ 7.4V http://youtu.be/xSh2YrEMFOE Mario |
