Default Australian Mack

Well this is my first build post so here goes.

Since being an ex defence member I've wanted to build an Army Mack and just have been given the chance to.

I found myself purchasing a 1/14 scale R series "Australian Army" Mack cab (YES there is a difference).

The vehicle i'll be putting together is an ex Australian Army Mac Artillery Tractor

Pretty good. Where did you get the 1/14 Mack cab from?

And here is some more pics.

The chassis is a plain stretched chassis and a TLT-1 front cross member, with a dirty great hunk of aluminium up front as a bulbar, with the speed controller mounted underneath and behind a suitably made up "exhaust" and the receiver will be over the top.

The motor is an outrunner which surprisingly enough has enough torque to really push this vehicle along when finished. ( Geez I remember motors that were big heavy things, must be getting old, all this new tech )

What model Mack is that ?......looks like a DMM686SX? That's what an all wheel drive, steel hood, heavy spec us mack tractor would be.

Wow, that is a good looking cab and hood! As far Macks go, they always look tough, but this one maybe a little more so. It has an interesting arrangement for the exhaust stack.

Looks more like an RD800, RDs had centered cabs, DMs had offset cabs.
