Default My Knight Hauler

Hi All

Have had to wait a couple of years to get my third truck so I've decided to change it from a straight out the box truck. Will be adding some more realistic mudflaps from the container trailer than the open rear tyres. Bigger exhaust stacks. right hand drive conversion and my first truck with a sound unit.( well it was going to be but got one for one of my Scania's which was good learning for this truck, still got some things to work out but better to do it now than on new truck.) Also going to paint chassis and running gear. Pictures of where i'm up to.

I'm Happy with the progress so far.

Thanks for looking

Mark

Those 2 piece rear fender really give your Knight a nice look. And with the being painted makes it even better. Nice build, keep up the good work.
Ken.

Hi All

Got some more bits screwed on last night, I'm getting used to the colour more now just don't know what to do with the cab and sleeper paint job.

Don't know what colour to paint gearbox, CAT yellow same colour as truck or just leave it black, maybe an orange to make it pop against the blue.

Any way some pic updates.

Hi All

Not a lot done, have added MFU tool boxes and fuel tanks. Have painted tank straps the blue of the chassis. Will be trying to match the paint scheme of real truck in photo. Will look slightly different as the kenworth hood is horizontal to lines where as the Knight Hauler hood slopes up towards windscreen. Have done a few drawings and it seems to look ok so will go for this look. Won't be painting the white though because my painting skills are crap. So I'm seeing if a sign guy can produce these as decals which should give me a straight line than if I painted it.

Hi All

Just some updated pics. New speaker placement copied someone else can't remember who but great idea so you can still have a driver.

Right hand dash conversion and painted.

Undercoat on cab now it just needs colour and shinny bits.

Hi All

Just some updates on progress of my truck.

Got the blue on and a couple of coats of clear, but not real happy with it not shinny enough so some more clear needed.

Have to get it finished soon as we have a little meeting in November here in South Australia, that's why driver is on the right side.

Truck runs ok has a 55 turn motor in it but might swap MFU-01 that came with this truck for MFU-03 out of one of Red Scania as can't get that one to work with the controllers I have can't switch lights on with controller.

Anyway that's just another thing to do.
