Thinking better to drill a new hole for the king pin and keep the fenders. The king pin plate on the trailer is large enough for more hole position. Just an idea.
Thanks For the hot News Like it ;o)

Or just go with a wireless kit like SS-Tronix and then you don't have to worry about that big bulky trailer piece that Tamiya uses for the motorized leg kit.

Hello everyone, I have been absent for quite a while, and after seeing this, I have ambition to build again. I agree with putting on IHB's wheels, and I think all in all it's not bad. I WILL be getting one of these when Tower Hobbies gets them in stock.

Looks OK. I'm just disappointed they're once again remodeling the King Hauler.
After they brought out the Cascadia, I was in hopes they'd broaden the selection and develop other "American" truck icon replicas; perhaps in the near future.

Here's a Tamiya Grand Hauler video posted by TRUCKSandDetails.

Kinda like the movie business. Nothing new just remakes of old stuff with new technology!
But I might be interested in buying a few of the parts trees if they ever came available on e bay or something.

I think you may be right Travis. So I'll keep checking on Tower Hobbies, and when they have a due date I will pre order one. That way I'm guaranteed one. I did this a few weeks ago with the container trailer, and I got one.

I've taken some time to evaluate the new Tamiya Grand Hauler. It has updated the front bumper & grill, the head-lights, the air-cleaners, and placed the air-tanks on the steps. The top of the cab is sporting a new visor, added the convex mirror to the cab-side mirrors, capped air horns, and slightly modified clearance lights. The exhaust stacks are pretty cool from the factory and the drive wheel shrouds are a beautiful touch, especially with the new rear bumper & tail-lights. Not to mention that it appears that this units frame has been lengthened from that of the standard King Hauler.

All-in-all, I think that Tamiya has brought us another WINNING COMBINATION. When it comes to the stores, it won't sit on shelves for long. If you get the opportunity to own one, I suggest you make the purchase.

I think it's a step in the right direction. Yes it's a restyled KH but I think they did a lot of little things that make it stand apart from a KH. Hopefully they will continue the trend with another classic American looking truck. Is the globeliner going to be overhauled next?

This is great for guys like myself who do living room building. A few custom parts and paint and you have a custom rig. Very nice.

Check out the very end of this video. Looks as if Tamiya is doing the older style unimog body. Looks really cool.

Tower Hobbies has announced the Grand Hauler should be in stock late March. And they have it listed for $603.99...Can we say late birthday present for me?
