Super cool truck! I like the fact that he uses it to tow a goose neck!! The engine looks like a Detroit maybe?

Re: this is my first attempt at a rig rat
ya super cool ride! the web site i got that pic from said he was pulling a long goose, had 2 other cars on it. yuppers on the detroit. i have a parma hemi motor here that looks like a couple simple mods to it and it will look the same. but i am keeping the larger blower on instead of the turbo/super that's on this truck. body says it's a diamond t truck.

Re: this is my first attempt at a rig rat
thanks, ya truth on the king hauler, but i need the frame rails from it. since i am building the king hauler too, but using a longer frame. i have a bruder mack cab here that i was going to channel, chop, and section for the cab.
sound box might be a bit of a problem. don't see a lot of room to put it in, but i will look to see what i can do. as for the pissed off pete. seen it, looked it over. not what i want. too shinny! there are lots of others out there too, but this one is as Msmaddie said, "down right sexy"!

Hey hippy, are you going to put a cover on the pickup box?
Only room, I see for accessories. Cheer's, Neil. |

Was thinking of a cover. Also thinking of putting a canopy on to help.

That's cool! I've never seen anything like that. Sure, I saw the Peterbilt hot rods, but this one actually works and so it has more value to it. Those others, well, they will probably spend more time on a trailer, then pulling one!

Re: this is my first attempt at a rig rat
Great concept. If you wanted to retain some of the look and usage of the bed, you could make it slightly deeper with a false bottom, ie, hide your electronics underneath and still have an actual bed with even a dummy or possibly functional 5th wheel.

Re: this is my first attempt at a rig rat
ok so this is what i have so far:
parma hemi being converted to detroit, mack cab (soon to be massively cut up), and an interior to tear apart and reconstruct.

Re: this is my first attempt at a rig rat
All I can say is I am shocked you just hacked up a $250 cab. That cab is one of the hardest ones to find or should I say impossible to find. To get one of the cheap trucks it comes off of is almost 250 just to get it here to the states and the cab is all that is used. On the other hand it should be a good project and you will now have a lot of pressure from those watching to make this one look good.

Re: this is my first attempt at a rig rat
thats cool since all i payed was a 100 bucks for the truck and trailer.
gee thanks for pressure now. sheese, lol. try my best to get it close, but it will more likely be the split window diamond t truck rather then this one piece window.
