Finally got all the machined parts for the Rotortilt attachment, everything works great when all assembled, almost no play between the upper and lower part and still rotates smooth so Im really happy with that!

Only thing I need to adress is the quick coupler on the rotortilt, the space for the gearmotor is 0.2mm to small so I cant fit the motor, dont know who to blame here, but I will solve it in the coming weeks!

Here are pics from Photobucket, dont know if you all can see them though.

Here are the most recent pics.

Yeah, finally!

I made a few extra, if it works like I want to I maybe sell 2 of them.

Nope, no building on the crusher for a while, the crusher unit is pretty much done, Im serching for a more powerful motor still.

Im not so good at calculating gear ratios, rpm:s and all that, its more trial and error for me!

I haven't seen much for video on your old crusher, has anyone sent vids to you?

I don't think I'd have much use for a tilt rotator myself, but I think I got 5 guys (including myself) that would like another production run of your last quick coupler... would you do another run?

I got one videos of it that I know of, maybe you seen it.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=o8mV5zUp-fU&t=2s

I don't know really, he was really busy last time I spoke to him and I waited almost one year on this last part for the rotortilt.
So I don't think he got the time for it.

You could pitch it to him now... if it gets done a yr from now, that's cool. You still have your STL files (or whatever they're called)?

I can ask him.

Yes I think so, I have all the files on a SD card somewhere, but I know he also stores them.

I wouldn't say there is no interest here in these types of attachments. While I certainly, at least at this time, don't have a use or need for such a device I am certainly very interested in seeing how you made it. I think you have done an outstanding job in machining and producing a very complicated object to scale. Your workmanship is first rate, congratulations. I hope to achiever your level of craftsmanship someday, seeing your work is an inspiration. Please continue to post.

Fantastic work Kalle, your attention to detail never disappoints

So will you leave your old quick coupler on your hoe too?

I think I'll take one if you have it for sale, even if I never use it, no one will ever make one ever again to your level of form & function. That is something of beauty. Well done!

Looking forward to your videos this summer... get busy practicing now!

Thanks a lot Joe!

The old coupler will stay on the machine, for hard digging I will remove the rototilt and then I need the coupler.

I will start to assemble the next 2 rototilts, but cant promise any dates as when to be done.

My newer JD850 has a 4th hyd valve, it hasn't done any hard digging yet.

Yeah, whenever, no rush for it, very cool attachment you have made. I'll have to figure out how to use "flight modes" on my DX18 so I can use the rotary sliders on sides of tx for tilt & spin... then we can figure out a lil competition series.

First of all I got to say WOW! I'm amazed with your build on this attachment, truly amazing and with the details and everything, I would say it knocks out other brands in this hobby.

Second, I absolutely think the interest is around, but as one mentioned, he doesn't need it. I would guess a rototil is a bit special attachment for many people. In my local community the guys who owns the more expensive excavators are also very true to the scale. Example they wouldn't buy a rototil for a Komatsu 490 as they don't use rotaion in 1:1.

Me, on the other hand, am more true to the scale when it comes to operating the machine, digging, moving and doing things like 1:1. Therefore I find attachment like quick coupler, tilt and rotation highly interesting(and I hope there are more guys with me). After buying the quick coupler with tilt in combination with 3d sticks, on my Liebherr 954, I found a whole new level with the excavator/hobby.

Keep this attachment posted!!

Hı Kalle, congratulations. very nice machines. I will ask you a question. which motors did you choose for movement and rotation? How many rpm of motor you choose?
