Would that be you blocking the road with a jack knife b/c you missed a shift?

What voltage are you running this trk on?

Nah blocking road cause its top heavy if overloaded . LOL
I can see a few accidents in the near future.

its running on 7.2v but im useing a 12v drive motor.
truck came with hyd pump ( dont know what brand it is) it is a small black square plastic unit.
You wouldnt know what is max voltage for these pumps as I would like to speed it up and possibly run a 11v battery to get a higher rpm on pump.

The telescope cyl looks like a wedico (probably is) & the pump would be 12v. 3s would be a little slow yet, but better than 8v / 6cell.

Thanks joe.
yes it is a wedico ram , and that is good news that I can run it on a bigger battery.
I also have an old wedico merc truck ( mint condion) that I got second hand with no battery.
the old guy I got it off built it as a shelf model and never run it and had no paperwork ( instructions)
so can I assume this is also 12v powered.
ive had it around 4 years and might have a go at getting her up and running before winter ends

thanks for your help

cheers andy

heres a quick video of truck pulling trailer.
battery was flat so sound cuts out and its a little slow.

worked pretty good but will fit a 4:1 box to give it a little more torque.

LOL.
im pretty happy with my first serious truck reconstruction.
doing one bit at a time but thinking how it will all work at the end wasn't that bad.
the gate is always open to people who want to play.
its mainly shut to keep the two rotties and one stupid british bull dog from running off with the mrs shoes, or what ever takes their fancy.

took the youngest rottie for a drive yesterday, he was really excited...
not too impressed when he woke up!!!

should have been a vet , cost me the price of two semi trucks.

no more double due claws and no more dangly bits for him.

Yes, 10 cell NiCad or NiMH. 3s might work too, not sure if the wedico electrics will work on a lower voltage.

thanks Joe, have ordered a full set of esc,s ( 3 ) at 12v and robbed my road roller build of the dx6 receiver , also got a 11v lipo battery on its way.
so truck will be running at 11v , hopefully the rams will move a little quicker.

fired up the wifes decal cutter and had a go at some company name decals.
I need to make a loader and excavator picture to put on either side of the company name to give it that finished look.

cheers andy

Ps the dog is fine, and up to his old tricks of mass destruction the following day.
his partners in crime have destroyed the bucket on his head and freed his feet from the bandages.
so I played doctor , new bandages and some time in isolation to give his stiches a chance to heal.
last thing I want is a lecture from the vet.

got the go ahead to open up the summer quarry again.
someone filled it in due to health and safety requirements, so I have to start again.
better get a chilly bin and a few beers organised.
need to make a few roads and clear some of the rocks to make driving more pleasant and safe.

heres a quick video of this mornings efforts.

ok, so joe might know a thing or two about RC trucks.
I took your advice about the pump , I have replaced all Tamiya electrics.
The post man showed up this morning with 3 big 12v esc,s and a 11v lipo battery.
2200 battery so its nice and small and fits nicely in the cab but will be interesting to see how long it lasts, hope fully around the half hour mark or more.
made a quick video of the truck lifting the bed unloaded then fully loaded with around 5kgs of dry dirt, I am more than happy with how it works

now I just want it to stop raining so I can have some play time.

Thanks .

bit of an up date.
trailer is all ready to go but the pump/cylinder I got of a guy is no good
pump cant make pressure, really slow.
took pump apart and there is a lot of ware marks.
so I guess I need to find another wedico type pump.

still , it was a cold and foggy morning and I had the urge to fire up the king haulers.
attach one now 41kg crusher on the lowboy to the tri axel, and send the dump truck off into the fog.
have also fired up the loader to clear the new dig site for summer, but that's another video in the making.

this one is of the trucks being trucks

we have down graded from 35 acres to just under 5.
but it seems that the smaller plot requires more work to maintain it.

I guess you can see it all therefore you cant ignore it, and im sure the Mrs's eyes have got better.

just finished replacing a septic tank pump........ yuuummmmy job.

still tomorrow is forecast for good weather so , more truck and excavator time.

cheers andy
