Default Independent Suspension on five axles

So, I'm working on a 10x10 Oshkosh MMRS vehicle, and making it true scale means Independent suspention, so I'm wondering if anyone has done anything like this, who could give me tips on what parts to use, and how they might need modified to make them all work.

The guys at the local RC store near me said that Stampede front ends using X-Maxx differentials should work, but as I've never tried this before, any advice would be welcome.

So, update on this project. Switched to Revo differential instead of X-Maxx. The spool is 6mm, the Stampede stub shafts are 5mm...I'm going to have to drill them out a little bigger or just use a Stampede diff. I don't know if the Stampede diffs can be set up as pass-throughs though.

Still needing advice if anyone's done this before.

I've messed with several Traxxas vehicles, but the Stampede is one of teh few that I have NOT been inside of.

Update: Changed out the spool for a 5mm differential, left it open because I'm realizing I really need to be able to turn. I will have to modify the shock towers and chassis mounting points to connect it to a 3" frame. Looks pretty good so far.

Next update. Having spoken to several Army mechanics, I will be following their advice and going back to straight axles, like the military has been doing for all of their larger trucks. No more independent suspension.
