Came across this in my fb feed from a page I follow and thought it too cool not to share with folk who would appreciate it........ imagine if he had access to half the tools most of us do!

If only there were, for every kid glued to an XBox, another kid like Wesley Souza. After observing how an escavadeira (excavator) works, the Brazilian teen replicated the hydraulic mechanisms using syringes and plastic tubing; with a little help from family member Lidio, he even carved up some wood scraps to create a working scale model. Souza, who lives in the central Brazilian state of Tocantins, clearly has a future in engineering or design. But for now he works for Desempregados, an activist organization dedicated to helping the unemployed make ends meet. While they obviously don't celebrate the holiday in Brazil, this Thanksgiving we should be thankful our planet contains kids like Souza."

That is such a great idea. Makes me wonder if we could use something like that on the trucks.
