Re: RCLogger
Great progress, Greg! I might have missed this, but what do you scale your models off of? A die-cast replica, or actual drawings? Maybe manuals with dimensions, or a combination of things? Do you have a spring tensioner for the track? One thing that I was really wondering about, and something I have never had the chance to check out on a 1:1 dozer is the tracks can walk or articulate up and down, right? There is usually a bar that oscillates in the undercarriage. With the high drive tracks, and the drive sprocket being fixed in location, if a track articulates up, the track would get looser? So some sort of automatic track tensioning system must be necessary?

Re: RCLogger
Thanks for the kind words guys !
I guess you could say its a little brother, but Dan it is from another family compared to your machine. Mine is stand a few hundred feet away scale compared to yours.LOL Nathan I use photo's from the internet and I scale up brochers. As far as the track tension, I do use a spring in the track frames to keep the tension, also if a rock or any type of debree goes into the idelers the spring compensates. If you look at the 1-1 the pivot point is just ahead of the sprocket on the track frame. They have a system to keep the proper track tension as well... |

Re: RCLogger
Great progress Greg! Love that you made the tooth on the ripper removable, then when it wears down from ripping rock you can change it out

Why don't you order direct from TTM Modellbau? Order in bulk, bank wire, you'll have your stuff inside of two weeks.
