Hey it crossed my mind a few times The Lego Crane got 18 motors 10.6 feet tall so it would work even if the scale is 1:48

Wow! Impressive!
Looks like I am not the only one who started with Lego. When the Lego pieces started breaking I switched to metal.

Another Lego hoarder love it,
But thinking something a bit smaller around 6x6 or 8x8 chassis based off a 1/10 moded kit or 1/14

Cheers Tracy

Thanks Tracy.
I can say the owner of the toy store was happy every time i showed up to get more Lego Kit's.........Total Hoarding... spent $3K to get the right shape or color Yes would love to build a smaller crane like 80-100 ton model.

Brandon. Thanks. I built this crane over a long and cold winter with my son John he needed a crane for he's Dinky Toys cars to bring them up to the top of the bunkbed witch was out of reach from he's new born sister...
we had a good bonding time for sure.

I occupied my wife's ironing board and the dining room table for four months.
And now i am on the second wife. get you some of that. It cost to stay on top,
No child was injured during the build.

1991 was the crane build and a major overhaul / upgrade was done 1999 before the big World tour 1999-2000. My son is now 28 and daughter is 25. Time goes fast when you have fun

Thanks for asking. Yes i will make some Picture this weekend of the underside of the KH Beam Hauler. It's not much secrets under there

Kent. I've ben lazy, have not put all the new axles on this one yet........two axle drive twin steer works quite well. The frame looks like a swiss cheese and need to be replaced at some point. The frame rails was used on something else before this truck, at the time i didn't have long enough rails so......
I can share a secret with you.........I'm Building a second copy of this truck with all the bling and exclude all the mistakes in the first one. To much time/work to upgrade the first one......It's going to retire when the new one is ready.
Oops ! i forgot to say A build Documentation is under way for the KH Beam Hauler the II
