Default Hydraulic pump and valve ?

Any information on what hydraulic pump to buy or stay away from? looking to build a old Arrow Master 1350 hydraulic hammer, and would like to make it hydraulic. But i do not have a clue on ml per min required? been looking at the liembach pumps, And there price list has 12v15,35,40 ? is that the ml per min and volt ? and picture 72 is the valve to make it auto up/down, any idea of how to replicate that? Just a single control valve with no servo just a servo horn on it hitting the two fingers ?

What scale are you building it in? If in 16 to 1/10 scale that pump should do well. 30 TO 40 ml/m should do all that your going to need. As for the valve I didn't see it in the pics.

You could always go with a winch system and a non folding mast, and save a lot of coin.

Thank you dirtpusher9 i would like to build 1/10 scale. there is just one thing i can not figure out is the auto engage? We own a hydraulic hammer thats where the photos came from, in the morning i will get some more photos of the valve and get your opinion on it.

There is a lever on the dash that works a on/off valve, and to the right of it a manual push pull lever for manual up/down but the valve in the picture is operated by the fingers on the ram, the taller the more stroke it has. trying to figure it out .WOW !

I ran a pavement breaker back in the mid 80's at McConnell air force base in Wichita Ks. We were wrecking out some old parking ramps and runways and beefing them up to accommodate the new B1 bombers. It had a manual and auto on it as well but I don't know the workings of it.

As for the valve there are way more qualified people on here than me to answer your questions on it. Best of luck on your build.

This one is my Fathers we use it to compact our ditches,Now days. but in the 90's he was breaking 24" Runway at Edwards AFB. And i am with you there are people out there a lot smarter than me, who prob know all about them.
But what i have so far is a trial valve i am making. The hard part is this valve TO Me is a hydraulic ram its self , but also a 4 way valve ??

The first picture is my idea and design.
The second one is what i have so far. not close to being finished, I still need to cut one more piston on the stock and make a new cylinder, now longer .
The third photo is the rotary valve that, when engaged flips and sends pressure to the top of my valve, thus making it auto up and down ?? Maybe some one can correct me or give advise ?

My suggestion is to ditch the hydraulics all together! Watch this video for the skidsteer version, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXkdQ...SHzYYNJCBCD70g they have a chain that continuously rotates, sprocket at top and bottom of the stroke, it has a finger that catches the weight, lifts it to the top of stroke, and drop's it! They rotate the chain with a hydraulic motor, a major pain in this scale! Electric motor and gear reduction would be cheaper to drive it with. That's my 2 cents worth.
Cheer's, Neil.

well that certainly looks cool and easier than hydraulic. thank you for showing me that link, I have never seen that machine before.
