Red face RC Mercedes-Benz Unimog 406 - CC01 Series U900

Has anyone built or looked into this truck?

http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=58457

I know it doesn't have any sound nor is it a semi big hauler, but I was wanting to get something kind of at an entry level to see if its what I want. Then decide if I want to go bigger.

I normally build 1/16 RC tanks but still want to get into trucks. I'd hate to spend the big bucks and be stuck with something I don't like. Tax time is coming up and this is an affordable kit.

Thanks for any input and Happy New Year!

Maybe modify it into a TAM 110 or 150?

Hey Jeff, Are you a Unimog fan? there are other bodies that fit that chassis.
I do like the Mog's, with the U-500 being my favorite!
Thank's for posting the TAM video, new to me.
Cheer's, Neil.

I have built a number of Tamiya rc kits over the years, and the semi I am now working on is my first semi. You will like the Tamiya kits I think. They are easy to build, the quality is high, and the instructions are good once you get used to looking for the English part in each step. They provide scale drawings of all the screws so you can't really make a mistake unless you rush. I love the scale look, and the fact that they are re-releasing all the kits that I had as a kid. I currently own a Fast attack vehicle, Subaru Brat, CR01 rock crawler Jeep wrangler, Clodbuster, and a Hummer H1 military, all from Tamiya. It is a good way to get started if you are looking for something cheaper than a semi.
