So I'm thinking if I limit my esc thru my radio and somewhat match the drive speed with the original buhler motor, do you guys think it will work out? I mean the motor I bought was $15 shipped so if it fries, I'm not too worried. Any thoughts?
Yeah, limit the ESC top speed through the radio. Congrats, quite an investment I can guess, an top of the line engine) Buy the way, the question needs to come, was the 12v version not avaiable?

Thanks for the tip!!
I was not able to find any 12v version without a gearbox attached on ebay. I did not want to spend $400 for a new 12v CR version which is the one that I really need. I found the 6v C version for $15 shipped so I thought to myself as long as it does not harm the speed control, I'm ok if the motor burns out at $15.
