looking good. Maybe add some axle stops so you can control the articulation? I cut mine of the tamiya axles so I can get more but it looks like you will have plenty!

looks like your bed lift will work just fine. If I can offer a suggestion. My Piviot point on my green MACK 6 Wheeler is about even with the back of the rear tire. I had it previously further back about 10-15mm but the truck was trying to do a wheelie when dumping or with the box all the way up. you may want to check to see if your truck will stay solid on the ground with the bed fully raised. It looks like you will be fine with a heavy truck but its something to think about

Hope to see this at the spring meet!

Help yourself Finster, I tried to make it effective yet simple. I'll have it at the spring meet whether it's done or not to at least see how the suspension works!

I cut the axle stops off and redesigned the suspension to get as much articulation as possible. I'm trying to push the envelope and breaking from the normal Tamyia set up, if it goes out and fails miserably I'll just figure out why and fix it.

I have your build thread saved in my favorites trying to study how it hooks up. I understand how it works but trying to figure the right place to put it without drilling a bunch of holes and moving it around so it doesn't get into the suspension etc. etc. is pushing me closer to building a set of dummy rails to test all the possibilities. I will have it there but not sure if I'll have totally done.

I can measure where I drilled the holes when I get home next week. Send me a PM on Thursday if you want the info from my truck. I think I used one of the three stock trunnions holes on the frame rail for the pivot point of the lift then just drilled one hole in the bed floor for the other end of the lift. The screw drive pushes and the lift unfolds and moves pretty quick as you have seen. I got lucky that the lift tucked I between the axles and did not interfere with suspension travel. I think you will have plenty of room to work with.

Thanks for the offer on the dimensions Lmack, I was going to take you up on it but realized that it wouldn't help since I made my own chassis which is longer than the King Hauler and my bed is longer. I've got it mounted, still need to mount and wire the motor and test it. I think I got a little under 45 degrees on the body which isn't good but if I move it back any farther I don't think it will lift a loaded body. It's not a big deal to me I'll just change things around till I get what I want. If it works well but looks like Swiss cheese when I'm done I'll just go to the aluminum pile and grab a couple sticks and redo the rails.

I was surprised how well it lifts a full box of sand even when the whole lift system is connected at the rear 1/3 part of the box.

I get a little over 45 deg if I recall correctly. But trial and error was how I had to set it up.

Just let me know if you want any measurements.

Got the bed lift motor mounted. I'll try to wire it up tomorrow. Need to get some limit switches.

Thanks for looking!

I got the dump body lift wired up and ran a quick test. Due to the way I wired the limit switches I couldn't tell whitch end was which and of course a 50/50 chance and I got it wrong, the motor tried to turn this thing inside out
But here is a quick video of it the way it's supposed to work

Vid opened fine.
Wow. I'm anxious to see this with a load on it. The multi link plays with my head on the triangulation of the lift forces so it intrigues me.

After the first time I seen this one online and then on LMacks truck I googled it and found that there are 1:1's just like it that use a hydraulic ram in place of the screw drive. I'm anxious as well, the box is pretty large compared to most I've seen so it will be interesting to see what happens. I'm hoping to have it far enough along so we can test it the weekend of the Franklin toy show.

Here's a few update pictures while getting ready for the Midwest Spring Meet next weekend May 23-24. The dump body is still drying and a new one will be made and hopefully be done by Indy along with the correct bumper.

Here's a couple pictures and a video. The second picture shows the battle scars it received at the Midwest Spring Meet In Monticello Ill. this past weekend. It worked really well, far beyond my expectations. The battle scars are due to it being slightly top heavy when loaded and a crazy driver! We had a great time at the meet.
I'm hoping I'll have the new dump body done by Indy as the body on it was originally for a pup trailer hence no cab protector.

Thanks Joe.

No battle scars from Nate, he's one of the smoothest operators I've seen .

Battle scars were from Izzy and his new excavator and wheeled loader. Amazing how we all loose stick control without lots of practice. Still better than using a shovel

I didn't say a thing, in fact the battle scars I was referring to were the ones I put on it rolling it on its side a time or three, and was having fun doing it!

I dont mind putting my trucks to work and getting them dirty.
Scars on the other hand..... I'm not so comfy with.,

The truck looks and works great Kent . Nice job, I'd love something like that in my open pit.
