Can't find anything that looks like that ( emeryville) Bricknick . Mike I will admit I don't know all that much on trucks but all the searches I've done can't find another like it

Actually it is (or was) a Ford F8. Which is a conventional tractor.



Convoy Company built the trucks special using the Ford cab in their own shops. The picture you have is of the origional configuration. Here is another picture of the same truck.



Later the trucks were reconfigured, still using the Ford cab into this set up.


A unique feature of that truck was the engine was moved back and the sleeper was under the cab.



Car carriers back then were often custom built leading to some very unique trucks.

Bricknick,

The truck you are thinking of wouldn't be an Emmeryville but instead an IH Sightliner. Which has similar characteristics.

They used that same IH cab in the movie real steel. First time I saw one and thought it was an interesting looking truck.

Yes Up9018 I was think of both that sightliner with those little windows and this one here as well

Man I would hate to be the guy sleeping in the bunk located in the front of the cab if there is a front end collision he may not survive
