Another King Hauler, again slightly modified
After a long absence I want to show you my latest project. Got a King Hauler at Ebay, the owner had just built the frame and had ball bearings added. I took the plastic-frame parts away and substituted them with aluminium.
http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] As next step I cut the original Frontlights of, closed the holes and added some Pete-Style headlights from Wedico. The front-wheels are some polished bedlock-rims. http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] Then I started with painting the King, here´s the result: http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] Today I started with the lights on the King, this is how far it is right now: http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] That´s it for today, will write as soon as the next steps follow!! |

Re: Another King Hauler, again slightly modified
All right, for those who are interested, here´s another view from the bottom, so you can see how I wired the SMD-LED´s:
http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] As next step, I did the wiring for the headlights, the blinkers and the roof lights. I always didn´t like the wires for the roof lights so visible, so I hide them this time under a custom-made sheet of plastic: http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] The last thing I got was the new rear-end for the frame. Now I have to come up with the right idea for the rear lights! http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] |

Turned out pretty nice, and I like the design on the stripe. Nice touch.

Re: Another King Hauler, again slightly modified
Finally built the rearlights. Cut them out of the rear bumper. using just the chrome lighthouses. The I built a housing around it from some scratchplastik.
http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] Then I connected the front foglights. I can switch them on and of separately, so I can turn the on and of indepent from the rest of the lights. http://www.directupload.net][/IMG] Ordered the rest of the electronics yesterday, now I hope that this will arrive here in the next days. |

Re: Another King Hauler, again slightly modified
Hi guys,
thanks for the compliments!! @Tamiya cowboy: I got the LED´s from a store here in germany, it´s called conrad electronic. Don´t know where you get these ones in the states, but I´am sure they are available. @woodhog: I never was a friend of the MFC, so I decided to get all the electronics from Servonaut, a small manufacturer here in germany. Great stuff, high quality. The price for the complete set will equal the MFC, but I can buy the components step by step, and I can combine different components the way I like. They have different speed-controllers, light-systems or sound modules. |

Re: Another King Hauler, again slightly modified
@Paul: the link for the LED´s from supermario aint bad. They are almost the same size like the ones I use and also re-wired. But over here I pay 67 euro-cent per piece, thats like 80 u.s.-cent per piece!!
