Default Looking for a new camera

This past week I've been plagued with camera problems! My good old CX7530 5MP Kadak Easyshare is giving me some problems. Does anybody recommend a better camera without breaking my bank? I was looking at their Z981 on ebay. Any thoughts?

Well I'm unsure of the price your looking to spend and the spacific's on what you would use the camera for.
I and my Wife like our Olympus camera's alot. Easy to use. Not to pricey. We have a water proof 8 magapixel point and shoot(about $300 new 2 years ago), and a 12 megapixel with a 26x optical zoom ($700 about a year ago). I also have a Flip HD camcorder, it's great and is HD. I got it new on Amazon for $100 and a bunch of stuff with it (Water proof case, stand, tri-pod.)

Check my youtube account for some video if you like
look for "Civicex5speed" thats my user name there.

This is a good spot to look at reviews on all cameras:

As far as price range I forgot to add: I guess in the $300-$400 range

I've got a Nikon Coolpix P80, IIRC it fits your price range. I've had good luck with it and it does pretty decent up close in macro mode as well as 18x zoom far away stuff.

If you can find a Nikon D40 you'll be close. I have the D40 and the D3000. Depending on how much zoom you want I found a site that sells the camera body and a lense in a package for about 369.00. If you haven't found one and are looking still I can get you the site.

Thanks for the input you guys. My camera is giving me issues with the memory card saying it needs formatted every other picture practically.
I'll have to look into some of these Coolpix 80 seems to be popular but I really like to be able to put it in my pocket sometimes.
