well got to add the stripe and it looks a lot better to me then I saw the vents on the front and filled those in with the black as well. I thinks its all starting to come together. On a side note anyone have one king hauler clearance light lens they could part with? I have been all through my parts boxes and cant find the one for the drivers side

well after you guys mentioned it an I have been home visiting all the nice old mom and pop suppliers I was able to find me some small drive trains and this is what the result is

Hope you enjoy it I need to find out a way to get a faster motor for the Boom extend and retract but other then that its working pretty good

got a little more done thanks to Paul i got the new bumper in the mail and made some custom tow hooks for the bumper



Here is one of the little motors I used

and this is how it all fit into the elevation boom

Thanks Kaf it has been an fun build thus far


well I was able to revisit this project a little bit and found a way to make the extend/retract work a bit quicker

Went back to the mom and pop electronic shop and they got a bunch of these in but the only problem is you can see they are not that long


I started cutting turning and threading and came up with this. I also took a piece of 1/4 inch delrin and made a solid point to attach to the inner boom




Now it moves a bunch quicker then using a 1/4 20 threaded rod
