Default My Crane truck

Right before Christmas I was walking through northern tool getting some stuff I needed for work I ran across the bruder crane truck and decided to pick it up. I didn't know if I would tare it apart or just leave it sitting on the shelf So this morning as i was sifting through all my old parts that were put in boxes 3 or 4 years ago I ran across some frame rails a built rear end a built front end and a transmission so I started to lay it all out and for some reason this went together pretty easy. It runs and drives the crane is not operational but im ok with that for now. The only things I want to finish up is going to be a functioning work box on one side, a dummy work box on the other to hide the battery, cab paint color change, and a rear bumper. Once all that gets done then maybe ill think about wiring LED's

This will make a nice truck, I've got it on my Bruder to do list but I have 5 ahead of it. Does the crane look like it could be made operational with out a lot of trouble?

Thanks oztruck and Dabears

Thanks Truckmaker in response to your questions I am sure someone could make it functional very easy but right now for me its beyond my skill and knowledge to make it full function. I have not been building anything but old volkswagens for the past couple years

Here is another update. I saved up all my updates till was out town and can not build only sit here admire everyone else's builds and update all the small things i got done.

Decided that the King cab was not suited for this truck so dug out an old Knight day cab I built and did a swap

Also was able to figure out a way to hide the battery on this one as well

I really like the way it looked so went out to the store and got some paint. I just wish I had picked up the right color now I have it on the list to change the paint again

Now I also need to find a new bumper think I am just going to go with a stock knight hauler bumper as I plan to modify it a bit to accept a shackle or 2 and a sling to hold the crane hook

This is a cool build for sure. I have to agree, the knight body look's better. Are you going to make the crane operational? I'll be watching this one.

You may have already seen this video, but making it fully functional can be done. This video inspired me to build one of these myself. So far all i have done is buy the Bruder Mack Crane truck. Yours is looking real good.

You might consider this aluminum bumper, as you could drill & tap it to bolt shackles onto. I bought one just because I thought it would stand up better to my bad driving than the stock plastic one. It fits well and looks good.

This truck looks awesome, just on detail I would change is that you need the black pinstripe to separate the yellow and white on the cab of the crane also. It looks great on the cab of the truck but needs to continue on the crane. But this build looks great, nice job.
