I was asked for more info on this build and thought I would just post it up here for everyone to benifit.

Here is a parts list of what I used to build it:

Nomadio Sensor radio
Tamiya gearbox
2 x slotcar motors (tamiya motors are 3.5 volts and fry quickly)
Saber tooth motor controller
5 volt 5 amp (continuous) bec
Hitec Digital HS-7955 TG lift servo
2 x Align Digital DS410M servos for bucket curl

Well done! And thanks for listing the parts used. Helps for those of us not experienced with RC components.

Great build! Thanks for showing what motors you used with the Tamiya gearbox. I've been stuck on my Bruder conversion looking for replacements for the stock Tamiya ones. Looked at everything except slotcars - DOH!

Nice build Scott! You should have built two or three in the process so you can keep one. You still should let Scotty up here try to break it

Thanks Ed! Yes, it loads the Tonka fast. It'll probably load the Mack DT fast too but, I'll need like a 2" or so tall ramp to load it.

Another photo of the new bucket curl mounts. If you look closely you will see a small kick plate between the servo and the hoop mount. It locks the bottom of the servos tight against the bottom plate.

Hi SmallHaul,
I am new rc land and loving your bruder conversion guide! Excellent work. I will give it a try myself. In case I fail, I guess you are still selling the RTR model, right? Any indication of the price?
Btw which motors do you use from professor motor?

I'll shoot you a PM. I use 35,000 @ 12v slot car motors because you only feed them 7.2 volts. I don't remember motor name I'll look it up.

I am about to order my parts as well. Just a little lost with the motors from professor motor. Not a lot of information on the site to make sure I got the right size and voltage for the motors. Do you have a type nr?

I'll make a start to get the Delta loader converted. Went to the toy store last weekend and bought the Delta Loader.
I just finished all my online orders for all the parts as per SmallHaul' shopping list (Big Thank You! for sharing that with the bruder conversion crowd).
If this conversions works fine, I will try to convert the bagger as well. I could not leave the toy store without taking it home as well
