WOW Lou I'm starting to think like Joe has a good idea. Maybe you should start your own company and go into production!! Now that you'r a proven master of the CNC thing it might be the way to go.
The oil tank and the shuttle screen are looking like they belong on the real machine, very fine detail. The paint is going to make it pop.
Hurry up and lets move some dirt!!!

Really turning into a "one-of-a-kind". One can spend quite som time in front of the computer just to make one part

Thanks Rob ..wouldnt take much to have this bad boy functional now ..a little more to do with the hydraulic system ..today I made an oil tank pics to follow ...I would like to keep working on finishing up some detail now that i am on a roll

Egronvold yes time well spent on the computer tho lol ...Alot time is trying to figure out how to plan to bolt everything together ..the great thing is having a drill cycle to use to predrill all the holes to where they are supposed to be

That's pretty trick Lou.

What's the volume of the oil tank made?

Lou....after spending 18 years as our Australian steel industry contract facilitator for cylinders, I am intrigued with the pair of double acting steering cylinders as shown

Lets consider....steer to the right = add pressurised fluid to the blind side of the left hand cylinder and at the same time add pressurised fluid to the rod side of the right cylinder

Sounds simple...yes, however without some form of proportional control, as the equal flow of pressurised fluid will retract the right cylinder faster than the left cylinder extending due to the annular difference or smaller surface area within the rod side of the right cylinder when retracting

PS.....your build looks amazing & I look forward to seeing it progress.............Derek
