Bruder Volvo ATD
Just saw this on a German site. Any one know of a release date or price?

Re: Bruder Volvo ATD
Edit: I just found out it's 680mm in length which makes it 1:18 scale since the 1:1 is 12225mm
Too good to be true. Last edited by liftmys10; 01-16-2018 at 11:32 AM. |

Re: Bruder Volvo ATD
I've already added myself to the waiting list so I'll know as soon as it becomes available.

Re: Bruder Volvo ATD
On the page the link takes you to, to the right of the image of the toy, there is the model number and some other things. one of the things says "Notify when availabe." Click on that and put in your email address, they hopefully will notify you when they go on sale.

Re: Bruder Volvo ATD
Found this retailer, lists a price and anticipated release date. November is a log time!

Re: Bruder Volvo ATD
I like it, but I'm NOT liking that price! It's a frigging child's push toy. I'd pay $50-$60 U.S. dollars gladly. The price tag they have listed for it is double what I think it's worth.

Re: Bruder Volvo ATD
It is expensive, but most Bruder stuff is. I can't imagine paying that for a toy to give a kid to play in the dirt with if the kid is as rough as I and my group was, but as far as converting to RC it is really the only option I have if I do a ATD. I cannot afford at all the Magom or other models, so converting a toy is my only choice, and as far as 1/16 scale is concerned there is nothing out there until this becomes available at all, unless it is scratch built, and I'm afraid time and skills are not on my side.So Bruder it is.

Re: Bruder Volvo ATD
I've seen This Type of Pre Release Before and when they land on the shelf the price dropped. My guess is $70.00 +- a few buck. Want this bugger anyway

That would make a nice load for the Coastway drop deck trailer I have coming.

Re: Bruder Volvo ATD
Just going by the information I can find , and the math does work out to just under 1:18, but the dilemma is still the same - there are no other atds out there that are close to this, and the rc models available are way out of my ability to pay. So 1:16, or 1:18, I'm not going to split hairs. I want an atd, somewhere close to the same scale as my other models, and this is all I can find. I just hate that I have to wait until November.

Re: Bruder Volvo ATD
Thanks, I tried to get it to post the image, but it didn't work out. I saw this on RC Construction on FB, a French page I think. The translation was unclear, but I think it insinuated a March 2019 release. That's a long way off, I hope it meant 2018.

Re: Bruder Volvo ATD
I seen this photo on FaceBook as well and it seems quite large based on the guy holding it but didn’t see all of the size specs. As far as complaining about the cost, the article states the last 2 years have been the best in Bruder history. Gee I wonder why? We all have probably have or have seen someone we know convert these, I’d say a good percentage of their sales are to the R/C world. They are nice models/toys what ever you want to call them. I found where it was listed for about $75 dollars which is close to retail on there larger models. I’m guessing between 50 and $75 from the dealers during the holiday.
