Whats the best way to make ladders, handle rails and cat walk on a 1/16 excavator?

I'll have to give that one a try. I've a decent iron, & can handle trying to fab a few things with soldering involved. I wish I had bigger better manly tools, but there isn't room in the garage for larg tools like welders, oxy/act torches & such.
