Default reworked wedico pete

Had a few comments on my Pete from Indy, so I thought I would show ya what I had to start with, and the road to get it to where it is now.

Like all my other wedico trucks I own, I bought it used, but this one was 100% rtr But came with a 4 chanel radio that I quickly changed out for a 6 chenal radio.

Day one, out of the box, and allready getting "modified". Swaped out the front plastic wheels for some aluminum ones.

Took off the Full fenders and the lift axle.

About 2 months After I got it, I tore it all down to have the body powder coated to match the rest of my fleet.

At this piont I still had the stock wedico sound unite installed.

and yeah, not liking that interior color at all.

A pic of the fleet at the time.

Repainted the inerior to grey, and it looks much better.

And that is pritty much the way it stayed for the next 2 years, untill boardom took over, along with a little bit of tinkeridus.

It was at this piont I relized, I should have done something with the frame rails instead of leaving them in raw aluminum.

So, I discided it was time to do it right. And tore it all back down again, and rebuild it from the ground up.

The new electronics system that would replace the cheap wedico electrical system.

And reduced the rest of the truck to rubble.

Took the time this go around to send the chasis off to powder coat. Also had them do the 4:1 t-case while they where at it.

And the rebuild complete.

The new elictrical system that is in it now is PMD's new system, witch I like much better, as I can turn the lights on and off through the radio system. I also removed the wedico sound unite, and installed servonauts SMX sound unite. Over all I think this has turned out better than I thought it would. and now look forward to finishing off my volvo F12, and the Centry class witch I should be getting back from the painter soon.

Welcome to forum Nate. Good looking Wedico for sure. Anytime I wonder what mine could look like, in a completed state, I stare at those who have a finished model.

Nice, looks much better than my King Hauler will ever look. Kind of wish I would have gone Wedico.

I see you are running two motors, in the photo where you show your chassis parts powder coated I also see your running a PMD 4:1 reduction unit. Lots of power?

Again, further proof that evolution works!
I really appreciate the quality of Wedico and the metal cab etc, but the cost is too off putting for me.
